1 Year Mechanical Service Warranty Terms for Modern Watches
This warranty is intended to cover the proper mechanical operation and functioning of our modern watches for up to 1 year, to include reasonably good time keeping.
This 1 year warranty does not cover misuse, abuse of the watch, or wear and tear. It does not cover dials, crystals, bracelets, straps, crowns, or stems. The determination of misuse or abuse is at Art Of Time's sole discretion. Misuse and abuse includes: dropping the watch, submerging the watch, exposing the watch to extremes of heat or cold, and/or damaging the watch's functions in any way through incorrect operation. Please note that we do not guarantee any of our modern watches to be waterproof, including Rolex sports timepieces.
After the 1 year warranty period has expired, we will continue to service any modern watch purchased from Art Of Time at our wholesale cost.
6 Month Mechanical Service Warranty Terms for Vintage Watches (More Than 20 Yrs Old)
This warranty is intended to cover the proper mechanical operation and functioning of our vintage watches for up to 6 months, to include reasonably good time keeping.
This 6 month warranty does not cover misuse, abuse of the watch, or wear and tear. It does not cover dials, crystals, bracelets, straps, crowns, or stems. The determination of misuse or abuse is at Art Of Time's sole discretion. Misuse and abuse includes: dropping the watch, submerging the watch, exposing the watch to extremes of heat or cold, and/or damaging the watch's functions through incorrect operation. Please note that we do not guarantee any of our vintage watches to be waterproof, including Rolex sports timepieces.
After the 6 month warranty period has expired, we will continue to service any vintage watch purchased from Art Of Time at our wholesale cost.
Q) How do I exercise my warranty?
A) To exercise your warranty, please call us at 1-786-302-0111 within the USA, or for our international customers, +1-786-302-0111 to inform us you will be shipping us your watch, then ship your watch by traceable and insurable means (please note that FedEx does NOT insure valuable items such as watches, unless you have private insurance).
Please make sure to insure your watch for the total cost to you to cover a loss through the mail. We will contact you after one of our watchmakers has examined the timepiece.
Q) Do your watches come with box & papers?
A) All watches, whether vintage or modern, were originally sold with a presentation box, instruction booklet, accessories, and certificate of origin. In the case of vintage watches, it is very rare for these original materials to remain intact and, if they are included, will be noted in our description. Modern pre-owned watches typically do not include box or papers, but those of our watches which do include these items, will be so noted. Never worn watches include: original presentation box, instruction manuals, accessories, and certificate of origin.
Q) What does "triple signed" mean?
A) This term pertains primarily to vintage watches and indicates that the watch is signed by the manufacturer on the case, movement, and dial. All watches sold by Art of Time are authentic and thus, as a general rule, are triple-signed by the manufacturer.
Q) Do your modern watches come with factory warranties?
A) Modern pre-owned watches sold by Art Of Time are covered by a 1 year mechanical warranty (see above). Never worn watches sold by Art Of Time may include a factory warranty. Please feel free to contact a customer service representative for further details on any specific watch.
Q) What forms of payment do you accept?
A) We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Bank Wire Transfer. Money Orders, Check/Debit Cards, Checks & Certified checks issued by US Banks. All funds must be in US Dollar.
Credit card orders must be submitted by fax. Please submit our order form with your signature and credit card billing address (credit card billing address and shipping address must match). Our fax number is 954-510-1602 for U.S. customers or +1-954-510-1602 for International customers. Please note that there is a $20 processing fee for all bank wires.
All domestic non check, non cash, non certified, non bank transfer funds, are subject to a 3.00% handling charge.
All international non check, non cash, non certified, non bank transfer funds, are subject to a 3.85% handling charge. We ship within 48 hours upon receipt of certified funds.
Q) Can you ship internationally?
A) Shipping internationally is not a problem. Please be advised that we are unable to make any false declarations on a Customs form with the intent of avoiding import duties in your country of origin. Q) Can you find the watch (or accessory) I'm looking for?
A) Thanks to our worldwide network of collectors and dealers, we can obtain virtually any modern or vintage timepiece (or special accessory, such as winding boxes) you may be searching for. We are happy to special order watches (or accessories) for you, subject to the following conditions:
We require an exact model number and description of the watch (or accessory) you wish to order, along with a 100% non-refundable deposit. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellation, returns, or provide credit on these specially ordered pieces. Furthermore, in the case of never worn watches, we must fill out the watch's certificate of origin with a name, date, and address.
Q) Can I visit your showroom in Miami?

Q) Do you offer extended payment plans?

Q) Do you repair watches?
A) Unfortunately, we cannot accept outside watches for repair.
Q) Do you accept trades?
A) We are willing to consider any and all trade proposals toward any watch in our inventory. We also buy watches outright. Please see our We Buy page for further details.
Q) Do I have to pay sales tax?
A) Florida residents must pay 6% state sales tax, unless you have a valid Florida state resale number. No sales tax is due if you reside outside the state of Florida.
Q) How will you ship my purchase?
A) Art Of Time uses insured, expedited shipping services such as DHL, FedEx (with our private insurance) and UPS to securely ship your purchase. Any items valued at over $75,000 will be shipped via Brinks. Shipping costs will be quoted at the time of purchase, or you are welcome to call 1-786-302-0111 for an approximate quote. All items are insured for full purchase price.
